Philadelphia, April 30, 2010: A jury has found 26 year old Antoine Chamberlain and 31 year old Jerrell Washington guilty of First Degree Murder and other related charges. Following the verdict the two men were immediately sentenced to life in prison plus additional an 12 and a half to 25 years. The victim, 62 year old Walworth Gardner, was shot dead on the corner of 59th and Lansdowne Ave in 2005. Chamberlain and Washington were driving in a car when they opened fired on the street during an attempted retaliation. The shots missed the intended target and instead struck Mr. Gardner, an innocent bystander. ADA Deborah Watson-Stokes successful prosecuted this case.
