May 20, 2010– Commonwealth v. Bryan McGraw: Former Philadelphia Police Officer Bryan McGraw was convicted today of Filing a False Report and Firing into an Occupied Structure. McGraw was charged with firing his gun at the house of his girlfriend, who was also a police officer. The victim was home at the time with her children. At the time of the incident McGraw blamed another Philadelphia Police Officer for the crime. A jury convicted McGraw today and his sentencing is scheduled for July 15, 2010 in courtroom 805 at the CJC. SIU Assistant Chief Sybil Scott-Murphy successfully prosecuted this case.
May 19, 2010– Commonwealth v. Vincent Hollimon: A jury has convicted Vincent Hollimon of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm and other related charges. Hollimon was charged with shooting John Bohannon on the 3300 block of Ella Street in 2008. The victim was hit first in the arm and then in the back, that bullet lodged in his spine leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Before running off the defendant tried to shoot the victim in the face but the gun, a Tech-9, jammed. Vincent Hollimon will be sentenced on July 8, 2010 in courtroom 707 at the CJC. ADA Stacy Forchetti successfully prosecuted this case.
