La Salle University Employee Charged with Multi-Million Dollar Fraud Scheme


Philadelphia, October 26, 2010:  The District Attorney’s Office has charged 58 year old Stephen Greb with Theft, Theft by Deception, Forgery, Tampering or Falsification of Records and other related charges for allegedly stealing over 5 (m) million dollars from La Salle University.

Greb, the Director of Auxiliary Services at the University, is accused of setting up a fictitious food company and using that company to authorize payments to himself from La Salle.  The scheme has reportedly been going on since 1990.

Greb turned himself into District Attorney’s Detectives this morning.  The District Attorney’s Investigative Unit is in charge of this case.
