Philadelphia – 22-year old Antonio Rodriguez was arraigned Thursday, January 20, 2011, on three counts of First Degree Murder and related offenses for the deaths of three women who were killed in the Kensington area of the city. 35-year old Nicole Piacentini and 21-year old Elaine Goldberg were sexually assaulted and strangled in November 2010. 27-year old Casey Mahoney was attacked and killed in the same manner in December 2010. Rodriguez was arrested January 18, 2011on a bench warrant from a probation violation.
He was formally charged by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, on January 19, 2011, for the women’s murders after being linked by DNA to the attacks.
He is being held without bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 9, 2011 in courtroom 306.
