Recent Verdicts

Commonwealth v. Wilfredo Cintron, February 28, 2011:  Wilfredo Cintron pleaded guilty today to Corrupt Organizations (Rico), Theft, Conspiracy, Perjury and Illegal Transfer of Firearms.  Cintron is one of eight former city CLIP workers accused of breaking into and stealing from homes they were supposed to be cleaning. The defendants worked for the city’s Community Life Improvement Program and were accused of stealing from homes across the city from 2006 to 2008.  Cintron was sentenced to one to three years in prison followed by five years probation and he was order to pay restitution to the victims in this case.   ADA Sharon Piper successfully prosecuted this case.

Commonwealth v. William Roldan, February 28, 2011:  William Roldan pleaded guilty today to today to Corrupt Organizations (Rico), Theft, Conspiracy, Perjury and Illegal Transfer of Firearms.  Roldan is one of eight former city CLIP workers accused of breaking into and stealing from homes they were supposed to be cleaning. The defendants worked for the city’s Community Life Improvement Program and were accused of stealing from homes across the city from 2006 to 2008.  Roldan will be sentenced after the trial of his other co-defendants in September.   ADA Sharon Piper successfully prosecuted this case.

Commonwealth v. Quadir Taylor, February 22, 2011:  Quadir Taylor was found guilty of First Degree Murder on February 22, and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.  Taylor was convicted of killing Sabir McCants execution style on May 3, 2006 at 61st and Lansdowne Street.  ADA Brendan O’Malley successfully prosecuted this case.
