Recent Verdicts and Sentences

March 10, 2011:  Commonwealth v. Domenique Wilson:  Domenique Wilson was sentenced to 84 to 230 years in prison today by the Honorable Charles Cunningham.   Wilson was found guilty of raping two women during two different home invasions.  One involved a group of Penn students, where one student was raped.   The other was a young couple in Center City, where the woman was raped while her boyfriend was bound and gagged.  Wilson’s sentence today is to be served consecutively with a prior sentence he received in Clinton County of 70 to 196 years in prison.  Altogether he has been ordered to serve 154 to 426 years in prison.  Wilson was also found to be a Violent Sexual Predator by the court.  ADA Mark Cipolletti successfully prosecuted this case.

March 10, 2011: Commonwealth v.  Jonathan Carter:  Judge Lori Dumas accepted Jonathan Carter’s admission of Burglary, Conspiracy and Theft today.  Carter was then adjudicated delinquent.  Carter, along with Dadisi Williams, was charged with stealing 60 computers from West Philadelphia High School.  ADA Andrew Wellbrock successfully prosecuted this case.

March 10, 2011: Commonwealth v. Dadisi Williams:  Judge Lori Dumas accepted Dadisi Williams’s admission of Burglary, Conspiracy and Theft today.  Williams was then adjudicated delinquent.  Williams, along with Jonathan Carter, was charged with stealing 60 computers from West Philadelphia High School.  ADA Andrew Wellbrock successfully prosecuted this case.

March 9, 2011: Commonwealth v. William Jackson:  William Jackson was found guilty of First Degree Murder and two counts of Attempted Murder for the death of 22 year old Kyle Starling.  Kyle Starling was killed on September 6, 2009 when the defendant fired 8 rounds into a car driven by the victim, two other passengers were also struck by bullets.  William Jackson was immediately sentenced to life without the possibility of parole by the Honorable Judge Bright.  ADA Chesley Lightsey successfully prosecuted this case.
