The District Attorney’s Office has charged 22-year-old Albert Booth of the 5000 block of Catherine Street with Aggravated Assault, Possession of an Instrument of a Crime (PIC), Recklessly Endangering Another Person (REAP), and Simple Assault for slashing a passenger on a SEPTA bus in August. Booth got into a verbal altercation with the victim on August 18, 2012 on the #52 bus. When the victim tried to ignore Booth during the confrontation, Booth produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the face. The victim was slashed from his ear to his mouth and required hundreds of stitches to close the wound. Southwest Detectives arrested Booth last night and he’s scheduled to be arraigned later today.
