Edward Sheed Sentenced to Maximum of 60 Years in Prison

September 10, 2013: The Honorable Charles Cunningham today sentenced 22 year old Edward Sheed to a maximum of 60 years in prison for the 2011 shooting of Marvin Brown.

Sheed was convicted by a jury of his peers in July of 2013 of Attempted Murder and other related charges for the shooting of Mr. Brown that left the victim a quadriplegic.

On June 10, 2011, Sheed shot Marvin Brown several times at close range over a cell phone.  As a result of his injuries Marvin Brown is now confined to a gurney 24 hours a day and he courageously testified at trial from that gurney.  ADA Morgan Vedjes of the Southwest Bureau successfully prosecuted this case for the Commonwealth.
