December 5, 2013: The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office has charged 35 year old Marcellus Jones with Murder, Conspiracy, Robbery, VUFA, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of an Instrument of a Crime charges for the 2008 slaying of 23-year-old Beau Zabel. Jones was arraigned overnight and his next court appearance is scheduled on December 18, 2013 in courtroom 306. Jones is currently serving a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of his accomplice in the Zabel murder.
45 year old Cornelius Fergueson has been charged with Indecent Exposure and Open Lewdness for an incident at the Family Court building on December 2, 2013. Fergueson, a psychologist with the court system, is charged with masturbating in his office in front of a window. Two students from the high school across the street observed his behavior and the police were immediately notified. Fergueson was arraigned this morning, released on his own recognizance, and his next court appearance is scheduled for January 6, 2014 at 1801 Vine Street.
