Philadelphia – Detectives from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Insurance Fraud Unit arrested Andrae Salmon for registering his 1997 Nissan Maxima with a fraudulent GEICO financial responsibility identification card. On March 5, 2013, Salmon was in an accident with his 1997 Nissan Maxima on the 5400 block of City Line Avenue in Philadelphia. Detectives retrieved the police report for this accident which stated that Salmon had an insurance policy with GEICO. Detectives contacted a representative from GEICO who confirmed that this policy number was not valid. Detectives then retrieved the title history for Salmon’s 1997 Maxima which stated that the car had been registered with a different GEICO policy on December 6, 2012. Detectives again received confirmation from GEICO that this policy was not valid either. Detectives arrested Andrae Salmon on February 26, 2016 for two counts of Forgery, two counts of Insurance Fraud and two counts of Unsworn Falsifying. Salmon is next scheduled to appear in Philadelphia Municipal Court on March 4, 2016.
