25 Year old Tyree Bass is now facing life in prison

Philadelphia, March 3, 2010:   A jury convicted 25 year old Tyree Bass of second degree murder and aggravated assault today for the death of Emine Hajredinia.  Hajredinia, who was 20 years old at the time of her death, was seven months pregnant when she was fatally shot in 2008.  Doctors were unable to save Ms. Hajredinia but successfully delivered her little girl, who suffers from major physical disabilities as a result of the attack.  Bass was accused of going to a home on Griscom Street in Frankford to firebomb the house in an attempt to get a dept repaid by the victim’s family.  In the course of that attempt he shot and killed Emine Hajredinia.  ADA Bridget Kirn successful prosecuted this case.  Sentencing for Bass is scheduled for April 22, 2010 in courtroom 601 at the CJC.
